The Diving EP is called such because of the depth of its themes which include self-belief, living for the moment and climate change.

The songs were recorded and produced in Ireland by me and Colombia by IFO producciones. Then, they were mixed/mastered in México by the super talented Prosantana Estudio Creativo, where we honed the “Séa Byrne Sound” – and it’s cosmic!

Artist Bio

Séa Byrne is a singer, songwriter and musician based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico but is originally from Dublin, Ireland. He has been writing songs since the age of 14 but only started to record them in 2019. His songs are about love, overcoming obstacles & world problems. He creates upbeat, catchy tunes – and the occasional ballad. He’s a proud Queer artist and member of the LGBTQ+ community & his songs regularly feature in Queer Music Charts like the LGBTQ Music Chartand a Number 1 Q32 LGBTQ MUSIC CHART.

His musical style innovates and intersperses musical genres by blending Afro-Caribbean melodies & rhythms, like calypso, merengue & soca, with a sprinkle of indie pop & indietronica, and a dash of soul. This reflects his diverse musical taste that includes indie artists like my bloody valentine, Ride, The Cure, John Grant, Sufjan Stevens & Julia Holter. He’s a fan of Latin American & Afro-Caribbean artists Gustavo Cerati, Pablo Milanés & Bomba Estéreo. He also loves 80s R&B – Luther Vandross anybody?

He writes and records his own songs but collaborates with musicians, producers and mixers across the globe including:

Thomas Juth – Umeå, Sweden
Carlos Santana – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

This is the first of 3 EPs he will be releasing in 2024 culminating in the launch of his 1st album this summer.

Locally in PV, Séa Byrne has performed in “So You Think You Can Rise”, The Voice of Vallarta, and regularly plays eclectic songs at Murphy’s Irish Pub. He’s also an actor and is staring as Leo / Maxine in the upcoming comedy “Leading Ladies” by “Teatro Sin Borders” as well as playing Il Stupendo – international opera star Tito Merelli in their production of “Lend Me A Tenor” in 2023.

El EP Buceo se llama así por la profundidad de sus temas que incluyen la confianza en uno mismo, vivir el momento y el cambio climático.

Las canciones fueron grabadas y producidas en Irlanda por mí y en Colombia por IFO producciones. Luego, fueron mezclados/masterizados en México por el súper talentoso Prosantana Estudio Creativo, donde perfeccionamos el “Séa Byrne Sound” – ¡y es cósmico!

Biografía del artista

Séa Byrne es una cantante, compositora y músico que vive en Puerto Vallarta, México, pero es originaria de Dublín, Irlanda. Ha estado escribiendo canciones desde los 14 años, pero comenzó a grabarlas en 2019. Sus canciones tratan sobre el amor, la superación de obstáculos y los problemas mundiales. Crea melodías alegres y pegadizas y, de vez en cuando, baladas. Es un orgulloso artista queer y miembro de la comunidad LGBTQ+ y sus canciones aparecen regularmente en las listas de música queer, como la LGBTQ Music Chart y la Q32 LGBTQ MUSIC CHART número 1.

Su estilo musical innova e intercala géneros musicales al combinar melodías y ritmos afrocaribeños, como calipso, merengue y soca, con una pizca de indie pop e indietrónica, y una pizca de soul.
