SÉA BYRNE RELEASES “ETERNITY” — AN ALT-POP LOVE BALLAD ABOUT CONNECTION THAT TRANSCENDS TIME

Irish artist Séa Byrne unveils his new single, Eternity — a soaring alt-pop love ballad that finds light in the darkness. Following his recent trilogy of protest and empowerment anthems (LiberationCatching Up, and What You Lost), Eternity turns inward, offering something rare in Byrne’s catalogue: a pure expression of love, faith, and lasting connection.

Produced by Daniel Aceves in Guadalajara and co-produced, mixed and mastered by Carlos “Charlie” Santana in Puerto VallartaEternity merges lush synth layers, emotive vocals, and cinematic alt-pop textures to create a timeless soundscape. It’s intimate yet expansive — a ballad that speaks to both the personal and the universal.

At Jupiter you will find me, my love for you; it will last for eternity.

– Eternity – Séa Byrne, 2025

“In a dark world, it’s time to bring in the love,” says Byrne. “Eternity is about soul connection — that deep, unbreakable bond that goes beyond time, beyond even life itself. It’s both romantic and spiritual — a song about hope, devotion, and the courage to love endlessly.”

Eternity continues Séa Byrne’s evolution into a darker, more reflective alt-pop sound — a space where protest meets poetry, and love remains the ultimate revolution.

Recommended for fans of artists like James Blake, Troye Sivan, Rhye, Perfume Genius, and Moses Sumney,Eternity is a soulful, cinematic meditation on love that transcends time. The single and official music video are available now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms.

SÉA BYRNE RELEASES SARDONIC NEW SINGLE “WHAT YOU LOST” — AN ALT-POP DECLARATION OF RECLAMATION

#NewMusicAlert Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — Irish artist Séa Byrne returns with a potent and emotionally charged new single, What You Lost, out now on all major streaming platforms. Co-produced with Daniel Aceves (Guadalajara) and mixed/mastered by Carlos “Charlie” Santana (Puerto Vallarta), the track blends industrial textures and alt-pop hooks with sharp lyrical grit to confront shame, erasure, and personal reckoning. It’s raw, rhythmic, and emotionally layered, moving from reflection to confrontation to quiet resolve.

It’s a song for survivors—but it doesn’t dwell on the past. Sardonic, unflinching, and ultimately empowering, this is a reckoning for anyone who’s ever been edited out of their own story—and decided to rewrite it.

“Make them wade through the pain that they caused you—
They can’t save you the pain that they gave.
Take back what you lost.”

– What You Lost, Séa Byrne, 2025.

On the song, Séa Byrne says:
“This track is about reclaiming power after silence and shame. It’s for anyone who’s been made to feel less than, and who’s ready to take back their voice. It’s a reckoning, but also a celebration of survival. It’s a very cathartic song and in the studio when we nailed the vocal I remember laughing out loud as I had captured the relief from singing from a place of power. I was going to leave the chuckle at the end but took it out on the last edit. It’s up to the listener to interpret the song depending on where they are emotionally in their process of self empowerment.”

Recommended for fans of Florence Welch, Hozier, MUNA, and bold queer indie with bite. What You Lost is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms. A video is also available on YouTube.

I’m proud to announce my new single What You Lost will be released on August 1, 2025.

This one’s about taking your power back.

It’s for anyone who’s ever had to rebuild themselves after being silenced, shamed, or diminished. What You Lost moves through pain—not to dwell in it, but to reclaim what was taken. Voice. Confidence. Truth. It’s about naming the damage, standing in the light of it, and walking forward with nothing hidden.

“Make them wade through the pain that they caused you /
They can’t save you the pain that they gave /
Take back what you lost”

What You Lost – Séa Byrne, 2025

Lyrically it’s a reckoning—raw, rhythmic, layered with resolve. There’s fire in it. But there’s healing too. The song unfolds from reflection to reclamation, showing that change isn’t always soft—it can be bold, even confrontational.

In his fourth official music video, Irish artist Séa Byrne expands his visual and sonic universe with “Catching Up,” a haunting, heartfelt call to action filmed in the striking surroundings of Panama City. From the ruins of ancient civilizations to the shadows of modern skyscrapers, the video draws stark contrasts between past, present, and the fragile thread of our shared future.

Directed by Julián Becerra and edited by Séa himself, the May 2025 shoot uses movement, protest, and poetic imagery to bring the song’s urgency into focus. Séa doesn’t just sing about change — he enacts it, weaving through stone and steel, moving with purpose through a city that reflects both what we’ve built and what’s at risk.

“Catching Up” is a sonic evolution too. Co-produced by Daniel Aceves at Sonorama Records in Guadalajara and mastered by Carlos “Charlie” Santana in Puerto Vallarta, the track breaks from the sun-soaked tropical indie of “Blue Skies,” veering into darker, more urgent territory. The message? We’re running out of time.

The video’s release deepens Séa Byrne’s international roots while speaking to truly global issues: the biodiversity crisis, climate collapse, inequality, injustice, and the ever-present specter of war. But at its core, “Catching Up” is a protest rooted in peace — a quiet yet resolute refusal to look away.

SÉA BYRNE RELEASES URGENT NEW SINGLE “CATCHING UP” — A PROTEST-POP ANTHEM FOR A WORLD ON THE BRINK

#NewMusicAlert Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — Irish artist Séa Byrne returns with a fierce and timely new single, “Catching Up,” out now on all major streaming platforms. Blending sharp lyrical protest with a driving pop beat, “Catching Up” issues a bold call to action on the climate crisis, mass extinction, and the numbing effects of social apathy.

Musically, the track blends dark, psychedelic guitars with immersive atmospheres and is driven by Byrne’s powerful, emotionally charged vocal performance. With serene yet intense guitar textures and strong energy, “Catching Up”continues Byrne’s signature sound—a fusion of evocative storytelling and compelling instrumentation.

The single was co-produced by Daniel Aceves in Guadalajara and Séa Byrne, and mixed and mastered by Carlos “Charlie” Santana in Puerto Vallarta, contributing to its rich and dynamic sound.

With lines like “Watch the species as they drop / Have we lost all sense of stop?” and “Time is catching up, is catching up, oh yeah,” Byrne delivers a powerful wake-up call that demands attention—not just from listeners, but from the systems that have enabled global neglect.

“There comes a time when you have to say enough is enough,” says Byrne. “This song is that moment. It’s meant to shake people, to energise them, and to amplify the urgency we’re all feeling but struggling to express.”

The track follows a series of recent performances, including a live appearance on TVMar Puerto Vallarta’s Hoy en Aquí en el 10, where he performed both “Liberation” and “Huracán.” Known for his genre-blending sound and outspoken voice, Séa Byrne continues to push boundaries, merging music and activism in a way that feels both personal and political.

“Catching Up” is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms. A lyric video is also available on YouTube.

Séa Byrne Builds Momentum with Powerful Performances and Cultural Reflections Ahead of New Single

Irish artist Séa Byrne is gaining attention with a series of live performances as he prepares to release his new single, Catching Up, on 23 May 2025.

Recently, Séa appeared on Hoy en Aquí en el 10, a popular morning show on TVMar Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He performed Liberation and Huracán, captivating viewers with his emotive storytelling and immersive sound. In a brief interview, Séa shared his deep connection with Latin America—especially Colombia and Mexico—highlighting how the vibrant cultures remind him of his own Irish roots, with shared values of community, storytelling, and connection to the land.

Catching Up is a protest-pop anthem addressing the climate crisis and social apathy. It builds naturally on Byrne’s previous work, blending introspection with passionate vocals and dynamic instrumentation.

These recent performances showcase his evolving sound and commitment to cultural connection and activism through music.

Don’t miss the release of Catching Up on 23 May 2025—follow Séa Byrne on social media, stream his music, and join the conversation about music and change!

Liberation began as Arrabella — a deeply personal song written to someone trapped in an oppressive situation. The protagonist, Arrabella, represents anyone enduring hardships, from domestic violence victims to those bullied or marginalized by society. The song calls for action: “put up a fight”, rise above, and reclaim power.

As the song evolved, I found myself singing “I, Rebela!” instead of “Arrabella!”, signaling a shift. What started as a personal letter transformed into a broader anthem for self-liberation and resistance. You can hear the original Arrabella demo on my SoundCloud, showcasing the song’s evolution from a personal narrative to a universal message of empowerment.

Original artwork for *Arabella* demo recorded back in 2012:

This track marks a return to my Goth roots, after five years of exploring healing themes in Blue SkiesLiberation introduces a bold, dark sound with atmospheric layers and raw energy. Produced by Daniel Aceves at Sonorama Records in Guadalajara, Mexico, and mixed/mastered by Carlos “Charlie” Santana at Prosantana in Puerto Vallarta, it departs from my soulful “tropical Indie” style, embracing something much edgier.

In today’s climate, Liberation is more relevant than ever. As our rights to protest and speak out are threatened, it’s crucial to raise our voices. “Now it’s time to shed a skin, take back your life from worrying,” the song declares. Facing fears and fighting for freedom are more important than ever. “The day you turn to face your fears, your liberation evaporates the tears.”

The music video, filmed in Jalisco, Mexico, perfectly mirrors the song’s message. Its powerful landscapes reflect the journey of breaking free, both personally and socially, showing that we all have the strength to reclaim our lives.
