The Story Behind *Liberation*
Liberation began as Arrabella — a deeply personal song written to someone trapped in an oppressive situation. The protagonist, Arrabella, represents anyone enduring hardships, from domestic violence victims to those bullied or marginalized by society. The song calls for action: “put up a fight”, rise above, and reclaim power. As the song evolved, I found myself singing “I, Rebela!” instead of “Arrabella!”, signaling a shift. What started as a personal letter transformed into a broader anthem for self-liberation and resistance.
