SÉA BYRNE RELEASES SARDONIC NEW SINGLE “WHAT YOU LOST” — AN ALT-POP DECLARATION OF RECLAMATION

#NewMusicAlert Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — Irish artist Séa Byrne returns with a potent and emotionally charged new single, What You Lost, out now on all major streaming platforms. Co-produced with Daniel Aceves (Guadalajara) and mixed/mastered by Carlos “Charlie” Santana (Puerto Vallarta), the track blends industrial textures and alt-pop hooks with sharp lyrical grit to confront shame, erasure, and personal reckoning. It’s raw, rhythmic, and emotionally layered, moving from reflection to confrontation to quiet resolve.

It’s a song for survivors—but it doesn’t dwell on the past. Sardonic, unflinching, and ultimately empowering, this is a reckoning for anyone who’s ever been edited out of their own story—and decided to rewrite it.

On the song, Séa Byrne says:
“This track is about reclaiming power after silence and shame. It’s for anyone who’s been made to feel less than, and who’s ready to take back their voice. It’s a reckoning, but also a celebration of survival. It’s a very cathartic song and in the studio when we nailed the vocal I remember laughing out loud as I had captured the relief from singing from a place of power. I was going to leave the chuckle at the end but took it out on the last edit. It’s up to the listener to interpret the song depending on where they are emotionally in their process of self empowerment.”
