Catching Up: Between Ruins and Resistance — Watch the Official Music Video by Séa Byrne — May 30 2025
In the vibrant and symbolic music video for “Catching Up,” Séa Byrne continues his evolving visual storytelling with his fourth official music video — this time set against the striking backdrop of Panama City, where echoes of ancient civilizations meet the urgency of today’s global crises.
Filmed by Julián Becerra and edited by Séa Byrne in May 2025, the video blends stark ruins and modern skylines, drawing a visual line between what we inherit and what we’re on the verge of losing. It’s not just a setting — it’s a crossroads.
Co-produced by Daniel Aceves at Sonorama Records in Guadalajara, and mixed/mastered by Carlos “Charlie” Santana in Puerto Vallarta, “Catching Up” shifts Séa’s sound into darker, more urgent terrain — a departure from the sun-soaked optimism of Blue Skies, but no less melodic or moving.
Through protest, movement, and raw energy, the video captures Séa engaging directly with his surroundings — weaving through the ruins, pacing city streets, and standing tall in defiance. His actions speak as loudly as the lyrics, embodying resistance and urgency in every frame. The message is clear: we can’t stay silent.
A quiet call to stand up and speak out — against the biodiversity crisis, climate collapse, inequality, injustice, and war — “Catching Up” is protest through presence, poetry, and rhythm.
Peace.
